Answers without a signal: we put a language model inside Inergy's battery systems.

Inergy works with edge devices and battery systems used by operators in demanding settings, such as emergency responders working in remote environments.

Together with Inergy's CEO, Wildstream embedded a lightweight language model and telemetry analysis on the device, so operators can check runtime, load and health without internet.

Instant answers offline

Operators check runtime, load capacity and system health instantly, even when they are working far from any network

Plain-language questions

Responders ask questions in natural language instead of reading raw sensor values or navigating technical menus

Model on the device

A lightweight language model runs directly on the device, so diagnostics keep working wherever the system goes

On-Device Language Model

Emergency responders in remote areas need system diagnostics without any internet connection. They operate battery systems in remote environments and need access to those systems' diagnostics at all times. Cloud-based diagnostic tools are of little use where there is no connectivity.

What we did

A lightweight language model embedded on the device interprets battery telemetry and answers natural-language questions about runtime, load and health, fully offline.

Sponsored by Inergy's CEO, Wildstream embedded a lightweight language model and telemetry analysis directly on the device. The model interprets sensor data from the battery system and responds to questions asked in natural language, so operators get a readable answer instead of raw numbers, all while offline.

How it works
  1. Sensors on the battery system record telemetry
  2. Telemetry analysis runs on the device itself
  3. An operator asks a question in natural language
  4. The on-device model interprets the sensor data
  5. An answer on runtime, load or health is given instantly
Key capabilities

Embedded language model

The lightweight model runs entirely on the device, with no reliance on cloud services or a mobile data connection.

On-device telemetry analysis

Sensor data is analyzed on the device where it is produced, keeping readings current during long periods offline.

Natural-language interface

Operators ask about runtime, load capacity or system health in everyday words and get a direct, readable answer in return.

Impact

Battery diagnostics you can ask about in plain language, with no internet connection needed

Reliable in the field

Emergency responders keep full visibility of their battery systems in remote areas, even without any internet connectivity.

Faster field decisions

Knowing remaining runtime and load at a glance helps responders plan their equipment use during critical operations.

Less training needed

Plain-language answers make diagnostics usable for every operator, not only for specialists who know the hardware.
